BMW Romania concluded a strategic partnership with Yacht Club Romania, the main Romanian offshore yacht club, to promote performance in a single sport in the Black Sea - the offshore yachting. The partnership includes the completion of the third edition of the BMW Championship Offshore Yachting Romanian championship which includes ryn cherrybelle BMW Black Sea International Regatta and the championship - United BMW Romania.

The third edition of the Romanian Offshore Yachting Championship BMW, initiated in 2008 by the Yacht Club Romania, ryn cherrybelle will feature four competitions: BMW Black Sea International Regatta, Regatta Nautical Life Beneteau Regatta Callatis championship, BMW Romania ryn cherrybelle Regatta. All of the championship part of the official ryn cherrybelle calendar of the ISAF (International Sailing Federation) in 2011. Championship will be held in International IRC rating system used in the most important competitions worldwide offshore yachting.

The first stage of the BMW Championship Offshore Yachting Romania's Black Sea International Regatta BMW will begin on May 18 in Mangalia. It is the only competition in the Black Sea offshore yachting taking place between two countries (Romania and Bulgaria) and participating teams from Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Turkey. The international jury and the race committee will be composed of representatives of Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Greece and France. BMW has a rich tradition of involvement in yachting. BMW Oracle Racing crew in 2010 recorded its first victory in the most prestigious yachting race in the world, the Americas' Cup. With a rich tradition, BMW Sailing Cup is one of the most important sailing competitions for amateurs. BMW Sailing Cup winners of national championships in Germany, Italy, Portugal and New Zealand meet in the international final. After last year it was held in New Zealand in 2011 it is scheduled to return to Europe.
Another event dedicated to this sport is the BMW X3 Games, European competition where teams of three participants compete in six disciplines, including sailing. At the final in Geneva in May, Romania will be represented by two teams.
