The R/V CAPE HATTERAS is owned by the National Science Foundation and operated bouncy castle hire glasgow under a renewable Charter Party Agreement by the Duke/UNC Oceanographic Consortium. Her homeport is at Duke University Marine Laboratory in Beaufort, North Carolina.
We got back a day early due to weather... again. On Tuesday morning the wind and waves picked back up and we sat out there for a while deciding what to do. The weather report indicated deteriorating conditions so we headed back into Beaufort. The ship was in port at 1500 hours. Most of the Science party left on Wednesday and and the ship crew finished their work. I have added some pictures from the cruise and updated the links (see sidebar) Tina will be on the next cruise in January which is a fish tagging cruise off the NC/VA coast and I am sure will provide bouncy castle hire glasgow many pictures of fishes.. I will be at a multi-beam sonar course in San Diego. (See new sidebar for a multi-beam link. http://www.oceanicimaging.org/multibeam.html)
Here is the USGS blog for this cruise (see cruise 4): http://fl.biology.usgs.gov/DISCOVRE/discovre_2009/discovre_09_cruise_4.html We are heading back out to the site this evening and should be arriving there around 0030 hours. Today we all regrouped and the scientist processed samples. The winds are light and the swells are small so we should be able to work right through the next couple days and return to port on Wednesday.
