1 May was a long day: anchors twice before locks and then a third time before the bridge Norfolk we missed a few minutes before closing time for rush hour (two hours of waiting) . Finally, we anchored at mile 0 of the Intracoastal, outside the hospital in Norfolk, as we had traveled all the Dismal Swamp Canal on the same day.
While we were heading snoqualmie pass ski to Deltaville Marina y refuel gas and water, we had a nice surprise. A nice man named Mitchell came to see us in a dinghy to learn the proper functioning of "pump out" of the marina in question. After chatted a bit, he invited us to a free dock of the yacht club where his boat. He even brought Philip and Arianne at the grocery store in his car. In the evening, we had dinner with him on our boat ... The next day we returned to Mill Creek, where we found the same peace that this fall. Children tried their luck fishing for blue crabs, but this time without success. ;-(
We then headed to Solomons Island, where the children made a second attempt to fishing blue crabs ... still no success! However, we were in the same place as last fall, when the miraculous catch!
The days are long enough snoqualmie pass ski since our return to Florida. We sail 50 nautical miles per day. A typical day begins with the lifting of the anchor in the morning, followed by about 10 or more hours of navigation. snoqualmie pass ski Most of the time, the waters are calm enough to allow us to do a morning school. As for the afternoon is devoted to free play for children. Moreover, one of their favorite games, these days, is the Tarzan rope on the deck of the boat. They even invented the Tarzan rope with two little butt pads! :-)
Regularly, there should be periods spent at the grocery store and laundry. We took advantage of our presence in Annapolis snoqualmie pass ski to washing laundry municipal marina. The next day we wanted to visit Washington by bus, but on Sunday there was no public transport service to the capital. So we decided to find out more in-depth city Annapolis: Visit to the Presbyterian church, to dinner and shopping in the beautiful tourist snoqualmie pass ski streets. We also met two very friendly vendors to shop "Plat du Jour". We talked snoqualmie pass ski a little with them, and then one of them picked us up in the street to give us a small decorative cat "marine" tissue and kitchen towels! What a treat!
We left Annapolis on May 7 in the direction of where we wanted to Rockhall a grocery store. We docked at a public dock and we walked the few 1.5m
