October 20 - River Dunes Yacht Club, North Carolina We stopped this morning marina theatre lowestoft in the most beautiful Yacht Club we have ever seen and at a reasonable price, the cheapest so far. Amazing! With floating docks which is increasingly rare since our departure. After a guided tour of the premises, we and our friends Marie and Michel Jolie Julie, we immediately marina theatre lowestoft said in unison: "one day is not enough." You will understand after reading the long list of services offered. Everything was there, pool and spa, beautiful terraces with fireplace, indoor decoration club Breathtaking with wood paneling, a pool table, giant TVs, a restaurant, steam showers and multiple jets, a fitness center physical, a laundry and a dozen bikes for adults and children. The service platform was impeccable, the staff friendly and in addition we had access to a car to visit "Oriental City" located 10 minutes from the Yacht club. We did our grocery store and bought some craft items at West Marine. We spent two wonderful days sunny wall to wall and met some lovely people. What luck! Caro 22octobre - Cape Look Out
Our next destination is Cape Look Out. After a short stop in Beaufort, North Carolina for dinner we saw hundreds of dolphins on our way to Cape Look Out. They had leaping around and followed us. Dolphins are really beautiful animals. We never tire of watching them. Cape Look Out is a beautiful place where we spend a few days. It is a natural barrier island located on the east coast of the Atlantic to North Carolina. Included are sandy beaches with big waves where children are insanely fun. They also has wild horses on the island. Turtles are very large. Their head is the size of a human head. It is very impressive! We ended our stay in Cape Look Out pie with a delicious wild meat. Thank you Marie and Michel catamaran Jolie Julie. A real delight! Caro October 24 - First crossing long
We will do our longest crossing to life this morning. It will take almost 30 hours to get to Charleston South Carolina by side. The window is not ideal for sailing because we will use the engine for much of the journey and we have a good swell from behind but Hurricane Sandy threatens American east coast and we must move now if we 'll be stuck here for a few days. Dolphins and flying fish will be there to beautify our crossing. Caro October 25 - City of Charleston, South Carolina
We await the winds of Hurricane Sandy attachment to Marina Charleston because there is no good anchorage around places. It is very expensive here because they know we have no choice. A difference with River Dunes. The crossing was long because we had to stay in the cockpit for almost the entire voyage except for meals and sleeps. marina theatre lowestoft We got great brew from left to right but from some stomach discomfort for me due to a lack of food, everything went well. Must eat well and often for not having nausea. The kids had a great night without interruption and Denis and I did shift about two hours. The wind was incredibly hot and the moon shone perfectly the sea And what about the starry sky, "spectacular"! We will never forget this first long journey. Dolphins escorted us all night to keep us awake. They jumped and swam near us on the rear sides of the boat so that we see them. Our light pole lit them enough to leave a fluorescent groove their way. They were often startled us because they were so close. We felt privileged to live moments. Definitely night navigation to its benefits. Caro
Charleston was a very good place for Sandy. The hurricane made the big turn off so only one day of rain followed by some windy day that we nailed to the dock for a week at the marina. Saturday, November 3, 2012
