Port Hacking vessel Paceemo has begun its 2013 Interclub campaign ski holidays 2014 with a positive step forward by winning the capture division of the Hatteras/ Cabo Billfish Shootout at Port Stephens on the weekend (16th -17th Feb). Skipper ski holidays 2014 Murry Offord and his crew ventured wide, north of the Norah Canyons to find some nice water and break away from the pack of boats fishing the car-park on day one to raise a solid blue marlin late in the day. I am told that the big fish initially gave the crew a few nice aerial displays before diving deep into the depths for a long and hard tussle of 4.5 hours in which they drifted some 10 nautical miles during the fight due to the fast moving currents. Angler Marcus Fazzolari displayed some exceptional stand-up technique applying full drag at one point late in the fight to finally raise the fish from the depths ski holidays 2014 on the 24kg outfit. ski holidays 2014 Back at the weigh station the big blue tipped the scales at a very solid 176kg ( 387.5lb). Day two was slightly quieter for the team, however they managed to tag a striped ski holidays 2014 marlin to round out their weekend. Back in at port on the Sunday the crew were rewarded with the final placings confirming their win and netting them a cheque for $12,500 ski holidays 2014 dollars, so a big congratulations to Team Paceemo on their efforts and win.
Another ski holidays 2014 notable mention must go to the ever consistent crew on The Outlaw who also boated a nice blue marlin of 146kg to angler Andrew Stubbs and place them in 3rd position overall. With only a week to go till the beginning of the 2013 Interclub, the fish certainly starting to be arriving, so stay tuned for further updates. Good luck to all PHGFC crews competing.
