Lying with a broken Azipropp engine in Palma on the town quay has given us the harbor police at 02.30 clock at night forwarded because ahoj it was where we were not allowed. In Porto Colom you a second time simply cast off the lines and the us at wind force 7-8 in the opposite harbor bay with a huge swell. From which we have come, because the anchor did not hold. In the Marina a whole pier was free and big enough. Other ships were not expected (which were already all there, because ahoj there have been 2 days blew 7-8) and yet we made the two "friendly" Marina staff from the Real Club Nautico Porto Colom-also inquire on multiple without Justification cast off and sent us on. Very hospitable, especially because the next day the same were two other Kats moor there also (and still had more than enough space at the pier).
All "good" things come in threes: The people from the dive center in Porto Colom are not the nicest or even really helpful. The main thing is true coal, this told us a neighbor anchor Lieger. Our aim was: to be able to borrow a wetsuit for upcoming repair or implementation of the Azipropp. My thinner surf Shorty holds but not so good that now only 18 degrees cold water. ahoj But lending - you can not! However, I had now made even nice experience at the end. In search of the post office to send a package, I asked a young passersby on the street by the way. In the absence of language understanding he got out of hand with the rental car and showed me the way right, although I had it about 500m withdrawn with him.
They are so still: helpful, nice people. Nevertheless, there remains a pale aftertaste, because beyond all has also become quite expensive. There are even fees to anchor in some bays, what actually is known only from the former Yugoslav coast otherwise.
