Recently I've just returned from my holiday in Greece snow tubing to Germany. On the recommendation of several acquaintance I crossed near Patras on a Sunday to explore the Rio-Antirrio bridge to parts of the southern coast of the opposing central Greece. After the bridge was behind me there were only a few kilometers east to the place reached Nafpaktos. (Image source: Wikipedia / Author: Antonio snow tubing De Lorenzo Kufoleto) Nearly 20,000 people live in Nafpaktos. Tourists here are often found only in transit again. The town has a small harbor considerable bay, which is worth a visit in any case. Not infrequently make passing snow tubing sailors on the sea entrance stop to make fast with their cameras a few snapshots. Around the port there are the usual cafes where you can take coffee, cake or anything to him. Near the bay there is also a long stone beach with crystal clear sea water. A walk through the city center towards the lying above Nafpaktos Castle worth it. Here you can admire the numerous medieval houses, snow tubing reminiscent of an old town. During the day there is in the typical Greek narrow streets often a colorful life. It is highly recommended to watch the sunset above the city to the castle fortress. Here you can enjoy the sight of the opposite side of the Peloponnese and the Rio-Antirrio Bridge illuminated at the same time. At night charges the town with its bars and clubs on the harbor for a visit. By the cozy atmosphere that offers Nafpaktos, I feel was given when I would find myself on a Greek island, rather than on the mainland. I will certainly come again someday.
