Australia, Sydney and Blue Mountains | Many photos and a few words
Like any journey into a far country also ends our stay in Australia at the airport. From Sydney, we will depart in a few hours and it remains in the transit area some time to write this article and to say goodbye to Australia.
The Blue Mountains are a large, continuous National Park, about 70 kilometers west of Sydney, the, away 4 million Australian metropolis and very good schedule at the end or beginning of a trip to Australia is if you happen to be ever in Sydney. Many visitors from Asian countries you can find here the short hiking žena hr trails at the village of Katoomba take a breather from the busy visiting the great city of Sydney insert.
The largest, in advertising brochures žena hr very exposed landmarks such are the 'Three Sisters' is a detached sandstone formation to the rim of the plateau surrounding panel. Who, like us, with a campervan is on the way, should žena hr stay on the Katoomba Falls Caravan Park. All the sights on foot from here are attainable, a luxury we did not always have. The address is: Falls Road, Kattomba, NSW, 2780 A reservation is highly recommended, either by e-mail katfalls@tpg.com.au or by phone. (02) 47,821,835th
Sydney is the banking capital of Australia. We experienced on a Friday night that bankers žena hr can celebrate žena hr not only hot but also transactions žena hr with proper bubbly in evening dress and suit. Everywhere on the waterfront, in the famous opera but also in Darling Harbour it was too lively. Maybe was just launched žena hr on the bonuses of the month January 2012 - we could not get out so quickly. žena hr
In Sydney you can stay with the caravan very pleasant in the Lane Cove River Tourist Park. From here it is a 5-10 minute walk to the City Rail Station North Ryde, from where you can ride comfortably in 20 minutes by train to Sydney. To go to the opera or Darling Harbour to get off at the station Winyard or Town Hall. A nice alternative is Milsons Point, the station before the train over the famous Harbour Bridge surprise.
From Milsons Point takes you to the Sydney Ferries and may by such ships a small to larger harbor cruise through Sydney's beautiful natural harbor with spectacular views of the skyscrapers of Downtown, the opera, making the Harbour Bridge and Darling Harbour. Also, a ferry ride to Manly at the northern entrance of the harbor bay of Sydney is a great experience and really a must to visit this city. All this is available for 51 Australian dollars (about 43 ) when you buy a weekly ticket. For us it was a great deal.
The address of the Lane Cove River Tourist Park I still have a grudge. It is: Plassey Road, Macquarie Park, NSW, 2113 Again, a seat reservation is thoroughly recommended by calling (02) 98889133.. Pickanterweise is this park on the central crematorium Sydney and on a large, park-like cemetery. It must also be mentioned that you are in the flight path of the airport, very close to the city of Sydney. But it has a strict ban on night flights so that sleep is not disturbed and the day you should not be here anyway.
We have used the days in Sydney to visit the Aquarium and the Australian National Maritime Museum in addition to the usual visits to the opera and a walk on the Harbour Bridge. In the aquarium, you can visit around Australia up close and behind secure glass windows marine life in fresh and salt water.
Much more intense than in Eungella Park we saw a Platypus platypus or while foraging, coral landscapes from the Barrier Reef, but now effectively illuminated in color and large sharks, rays and rare sawfish, called the Sawfish in English. In the Maritime Museum on the other side of the harbor of Darling Harbour some ships lie for inspection at the wharf. We were able to crawl around in a U-boat žena hr and visit a destroyer of the Australian Navy. Even a small, lovingly restored merchant ship from the 17th century and a great sailor who in 1874 set in Scotland to Kiel, had traveled the world and eventually in South Australia would be almost rotted a wreck before the ship with sponsors and ship lovers in 12 years has been restored, we could look at intensive. Both museums are found at Darling Harbour. žena hr
